Who is responsible

What data we handle and why

This site has no accounts, forms or checkout, and we do not ask for your name, email or any other personal data to browse it.

We measure activity on the site anonymously with Umami, an analytics service that does not use cookies. It records the pages you visit, clicks on the "See the offer on AliExpress" button (and which product they belong to), your approximate country and city, device type, browser, language, screen size and the site you came from. We use it to learn which products people care about and to improve the site.

If you email us, we will use your details only to reply to you.

Cookies and browser storage

We do not use our own cookies or advertising cookies. We only store your language preference (Spanish or English) in your browser, and it never leaves your device.

Third parties that receive data

Some third parties are involved in delivering the site and may receive technical data such as your IP address and browser:

• AliExpress: product images are loaded from its servers. If you click "See the offer on AliExpress" you leave this site, and AliExpress applies its own privacy policy and cookies.
• Umami: the analytics service described above.
• Our hosting and content delivery provider: it logs technical data about each request in order to deliver and protect the site.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Retention

Measurement data does not directly identify a person and we keep it only as long as needed for the purposes described.

Your rights

Under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and its regulations, you have the right to know, update and correct your data, to request proof of authorization and deletion of your data, to withdraw your authorization, to be informed about how it is used and to access it free of charge. Depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have additional rights such as access, deletion or objection.

To exercise them, write to hola@pautacaribe.com. We will answer queries within 10 business days and complaints within 15 business days (extendable as the law allows). If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (www.sic.gov.co).

How to opt out of measurement

You can opt out with your browser's tracker blocker. If you prefer to do it only for this site, open your browser console and run: localStorage.setItem("umami.disabled", 1)

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
